Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2025, and permission granted on May 20, 2025, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lambert, at 3:03 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lambert; Bryant; Bumgarner; Garcia, Linda; Hayes; Schoolcraft; and Vo.

The chair laid out SB 1024 as pending business.
The chair offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
The chair moved that SB 1024, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion failed by the following record vote:

Nays: Representatives Bryant; Bumgarner; Garcia, Linda; Vo (4).

Absent: Representatives Plesa; Holt (2).

The chair moved that SB 621, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
