Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 23, 2025, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative Mary Ann Perez, at 6:07 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Perez, Mary Ann; Canales; Curry; Gámez; Harris Davila; LaHood; Little; Morales, Eddie; and Patterson.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 2589 as pending business.

Representative LaHood moved that SB 2589, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Perez, Mary Ann; Canales; Curry; Gámez; Harris Davila; LaHood; Little; Morales, Eddie; Patterson (9).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

At 6:09 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
